Thomas Edward Mossellem

Thomas Edward Mossellem, age 85, of Pittsburgh, formerly of Springfield, Va., and Mercersburg, Pa., after a long battle with ALS, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on Friday, March 31, 2023.

Tom was the beloved husband of 47 years of Jane (Morris) Mossellem; loving father of Lynda (Jeffrey) Palmer, Tom (Jordan) Mossellem, and Susan (Steve) Hart; treasured Jiddo of Christian Mossellem, Jonathan Palmer, Madison Mossellem, Alicia (fiancé Brandon Huegel) Hart, Natalie Palmer, Austin Mossellem, Lauren Palmer, Christopher Hart, Daniel Palmer and Brian Hart; and dear brother of John (Annette) Mossellem.

After proudly serving his country in the United States Air Force and completing a distinguished career in the U.S. State Department, Tom engaged his passion for the outdoors at his beautiful farm in Little Cove, Pa. There he raised cattle, grew crops, collected tractors and was recognized as Farmer of the Year for Conservation in 1997. Everyone who knew Tom, knew he loved his family, his friends, his farm and his many dogs over the years.

riends and family were welcome at 2630 West Liberty Ave., Dormont, 412-531-4000, on Monday 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. On Tuesday 10 a.m. a Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at St. Michael the Archangel Parish, Our Lady of Grace Church, 310 Kane Blvd., Pgh., 15243, followed by interment at Calvary Cemetery.
