Mercersburg woman arrested on multiple charges

A Mercersburg woman was arrested in December in Needmore after a traffic stop but charges weren’t filed until February.

According to Pennsylvania State Police, Rhiannon Reese, 38, Mercersburg, was stopped in Needmore in the area of Great Cove Road and Pigeon Cove Road for several traffic violations.

Police said Reese was found under the influence of a controlled substance and taken into custody for DUI.

Reese was also found to be in possession of a small amount of marijuana, psilocybin mushrooms, and related drug paraphernalia.

Charges were filed through Magisterial District Judge Tamela M. Heming.

According to online court records, Reese was charged with marijuana-small amount personal use, two counts driving under the influence of alcohol/controlled substance, intentional possession of a controlled substance by a person not regulated, use/possession of drug paraphernalia, operating a vehicle without a valid inspection, no rear lights, and careless driving.

A preliminary arraignment is set for March 15 and a preliminary hearing is set for March 27.
