Panthers prevail 69-65 in final home game of the season

Hancock High School’s boys’ varsity basketball team pulled off a win in the last quarter of their final home game of the season last Friday, February 17.

The Union High School Tigers traveled from Mount Storm, West Virginia and leapt to an early lead over the Panthers.

Trailing the Tigers 48-50 at the end of the third quarter, the Panthers bounced back, scoring 21 points in the fourth quarter to win the game 69-65.

Junior Isaiah Demory led the scoring for the Panthers with 25 points.

Sophomore Aiden McCarty scored 22 points for the Panthers in the game.

Under head coach Ed Morris, the Hancock Panthers (5-17) head to Boonsboro this Saturday, February 25 to tip off against the Warriors at 2 p.m. for their final hoops of the 2022-2023 season.
