Michael James Hovermale

Michael James Hovermale, 67, Hancock, Md., passed away Monday, December 26, 2022, at Winchester Medical Center, Winchester Va.
Born May 30, 1955, in Berkeley Springs, W.Va., he was the son of the late William V. Hovermale and Waneta A. Hill Hovermale.
He was employed with Rayloc Automotive, Hancock, for over 34 years, retiring in 2007.
He enjoyed riding his golf cart, cooking, and playing cards and shooting pool with friends. Most of all he loved spending time with family and friends.
He is survived by a son, Lance A. Hovermale, Berkeley Springs, W.Va.; fiancé, Tabatha M. McFadden, Hancock, Md.; a brother, Wayne Hovermale, Hancock, Md.; a sister, Sandy McCoy, Hancock, Md.; an aunt, Priscilla Walker, Berkeley Springs, W.Va. and his baby, “Wynstan,” an Old English Bulldog.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a special nephew, Roy James Gordon.
A memorial service for Michael J. Hovermale will be held at a later date. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Grove Funeral Home, 141 West Main St., Hancock, MD.
