Police investigating thefts

Pennsylvania State Police from the McConnellsburg barracks are investigating two thefts from Great Cove Road and one from Buck Valley Road from incidents in August.

The first two involve catalytic converters being stolen from two vehicles along Great Cove Road at I-70 west in Warfordsburg.

According to police, some time between 5:45 a.m. and 5:20 p.m. on August 17. The two catalytic converters were stolen from a 2005 Nissan XTerra, valued at $240, and a 2010 Ford pick up, valued at $405.

The other theft occurred some time between August 1 and August 20 near Southern Fulton Junior/Senior High School.

According to police, Pennsylvania State Police, McConnellsburg took a report on stolen road signs in the 13,000 block of Buck Valley Road.

Police said two Mann Road signs; one each of a stop sign, trucks reduced gear sign, sign with an arrow for a sharp turn, a “scenic” sign, and a State Route 40 sign; and an orange and white lane marker were stolen.

The total value of the signs were $875, traffic cone at $50, and the lane marker at $35.

Police said the investigation is ongoing and pending interviews with suspects.
