Hancock man charged with DUI, possession of marijuana

Police were called to the 7-11 parking lot last Wednesday, September 7 at about 8 p.m. for a welfare check on a man seen hanging from his truck for about 15 to 20 minutes.

According to a criminal complaint filed in Morgan County Magistrate Court by Officer Tony Link, police observed a man actually hanging over an open truck door in the parking lot.

Upon waking, the man allegedly admitted to having marijuana in his truck. Police then searched the man’s vehicle, reportedly finding a glass pipe and a leafy substance resembling marijuana.

The man, identified as Kenneth L. Fleegle, 37, of Hancock, allegedly failed a field sobriety test as he continued to nod off.

Fleegle was arrested and charged with DUI first offense and possession of marijuana. He is incarcerated at Eastern Regional Jail, awaiting a hearing in the matter.
