1940-2022

Ronald L. Corbett, 82, Hancock, Md., passed away Sunday, August 21, 2022, at Meritus Medical Center, Hagerstown, Md.

Born February 14, 1940, in Cumberland, MD., he was the son of the late George Corbett and Beulah Mae (McDonald) Sullivan and the husband of Faye Corbett.

He was a graduate of Flintstone High School, Class of 1959.

He was employed by London Fog Manufacturing for over 30 years.

He was a Deacon at Orchard Ridge Church of God.

He was a lifetime member of the Hancock Fire Company.

He loved to play softball.

In addition to his wife of 62 years, he is survived by three daughters, Mary Ann Yost, and husband, Greg, Falling Waters, W.Va., Patty Ward, and husband, Kevin, Hancock, Md., and Teresa Appel, and husband, James, Hagerstown, Md.; seven grandchildren, Dustin Yost, and wife Mariah, Derek Yost, and wife Iskra, James Appel, Jr., Ryan Appel, Kyle Ward, Karlie Pelton, and husband Ethan and Kody Ward; six great-grandchildren, Parker, Landyn, Taylor, Haylee and Connor Yost, and Gideon Pelton; two sisters, Phyllis Gaither, and husband, Ray, and Thelma Wagner and husband, Richard; three sisters-in-law and stepsisters and stepbrothers.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Danielle Yost; three brothers, Lee, Gary and Michael Sullivan and stepbrothers and stepsisters.

Family will receive friends, Wednesday, August 24, 2022, 6-8 p.m., at Grove Funeral Home, 141 West Main St., Hancock, Md. Funeral services will be held, Thursday, August 25, 2022, at 11 a.m., at Orchard Ridge Church of God, 14128 Orchard Ridge Rd., Hancock, Md. Pastor Jeff Hawbaker will officiate. Burial will be in the adjoining church cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Ronnie’s name to Orchard Ridge Church of God, 14128 Orchard Ridge Road, Hancock, MD 21750, or to Hancock Fire Company, 3 Fulton Street, Hancock, MD 21750.

Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Grove Funeral Home, 141 West Main St, Hancock, MD.
