Hancock Panthers travel to Ravens’ tournament

Thirteen members of the Hancock Panthers varsity football team traveled to Howard County on July 16 for the Baltimore Ravens 7-on-7 football tournament.

The Ravens 7-on-7 football tournament serves as a summer primer for 72 high school teams from around the area as they prepare for the upcoming fall season, according to the Baltimore Ravens website.

The Panthers brought one senior and plenty of new players to the tournament, according to the football team’ s social media page. They were able to play in two games before storms shut down the field.

Football season starts on Wednesday, August 10 with the first official practice. The first game is slated for Friday, September 2 when the Panthers host Madonna Catholic at 7 p.m.
