Lester “Fuzzy” J. Souders
1936-2022
Lester “Fuzzy” J. Souders, 86, passed away Wednesday, July 27, 2022, at Winchester Medical Center.
Born January 25, 1936, in Berkeley Springs, W.Va., he was the son of the late Virginia Stotler Souders, and the husband of Doris J. Souders, who passed away November 7, 2017.
He was a member of the Hancock Grace Nazarene Church.
He was an assembler, for 31 years, at General Motors in Martinsburg, W.Va., and was employed with Douglas Motors in Hancock, Md., for 25 years.
He is survived by a son, Kevin L. Souders, and wife, Donna, of Hancock, Md.; his grand doggy, Gracie Keanu; and a very special friend, Cathy Souders, of Hagerstown, Md.
In addition to his mother and his wife of 57 years, he was preceded in death by a sister, Genevieve Case; and two brothers, Ray and Charles Buddy Souders.
Funeral services were held Saturday, July 30, at 11 a.m., at Needmore Bible Church, 6939 Great Cove Rd, Needmore, Pa. Rev. Rodney Truax and Rev. Doug Poffenberger officiated. Burial followed at Tonoloway Primitive Baptist Cemetery, 602 Thompson Rd, Needmore, Pa.
Memorial donations can be made in Fuzzy’s name to Tonoloway Primitive Baptist Church.
Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Grove Funeral Home, 141 West Main St, Hancock, Md.
