Three taken to hospital after Fulton County crash

by Geoff Fox

Three people were transported to Fulton County Medical Center on Saturday, July 10, after a two-vehicle accident on Buck V alley Road in Warfordsburg.

According to Pennsylvania State Police, a 2018 Ford Edge was parked along the westbound shoulder of Buck Valley Road just east of Stoneybreak Road as a 2012 Jeep Wrangler was traveling west.

The driver of the Jeep, Cameron J. McCray, 22, of Warfordsburg, saw the Ford Edge sitting along the shoulder and attempted to pass safely in the opposite lane of travel, police said.

For unknown reasons, the driver of the Edge, Jacqueline M. Nelson, 71, of Spring Hill, Fla., attempted to turn around and pulled across

both lanes of travel, striking the Jeep in the front passenger side fender.

This caused the Jeep to roll onto the passenger side of the vehicle.

Police said the Ford came to a final uncontrolled rest on the south side of Buck V alley Road, facing east. The Jeep came to a final uncontrolled rest on the south side of the road on its passenger side facing north.

Nelson and the passenger of the Jeep, Kylie S. Golden, 19, of Warfordsburg, were transported to the hospital with suspected minor injuries. McCray was transported with a possible injury.

Police said neither McCray nor Golden were wearing their seatbelt at the time of the crash. Nelson was wearing a seatbelt, police said.
