Phillip W. Turner
1979-2022
Phillip Wayne Turner, age 43, of Great Cacapon, W.Va., died on Saturday, June 4, 2022 at his residence.
Born April 11, 1979 in Punxsutawney, Pa., he was the son of Douglas Arthur and JoAnne Lynn Meckley Turner, both of Pennsylvania.
He was a high school graduate and attended two years of college.
Phillip served with the United States Marines. He worked as security specialist with the United States Department of Defense.
Phillip enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, farming and riding his motorcycle.
In addition to his parents, Phillip is survived by his children, Jordan Stewart Flanders, Kayla JoAnne Turner and Bryce Daniel Turner, all of Mt. Airy, Md.; his sister, Olivia Turner Lanich and his brother, Douglas Arthur Turner, both of Curwensville, Pa.; one granddaughter, Willow Baxter, of Hedgesville, W.Va., and several nieces and nephews.
Celebration of Life services will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Saturday, July 9, at Mayberry Game Protection Association, 2555 Mayberry Road, Westminster, MD 21158. Burial will be private.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Phillip’s memory may be made to Marine Toys for Tots Foundation, 18251 Quantico Gateway Drive, Triangle, VA 22172.
