Margaret Ruth Rogers
1922-2022
Margaret Ruth Rogers, age 100, of Berkeley Springs, W.Va., died on Saturday, May 14, 2022 at Fahrney-Keedy Home & Village in Boonsboro, Md.
Born March 16, 1922 in Birdsboro, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Helen Lykens Kochel.
She was of St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church.
Margaret was a high school graduate and attended St. Joseph’s School of Nursing.
She was a homemaker all of her life to her husband and children.
Margaret enjoyed flowers, cooking and reading.
Margaret is survived by her sister, Grace Killian and her husband, Jim, both of Pennsylvania, one daughter-in-law, Sheila Rogers of Berkeley Springs, one granddaughter, Karen Ann Marshall and her husband, Derek of Williamsport, Md., two great-grandchildren, Roy William McNelly III and Aimee Marie McNelly, both of Berkeley Springs, W.Va., one great-great-grandson, Blake Allen Lewis, and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Allen Dorsey Rogers, Sr., her two children, Patricia Rogers Esender and Allen Dorsey Rogers, Jr., and one grandson, David Allen Rogers.
Funeral services will be conducted at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, May 25, 2022 at Helsley-Johnson Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 95 Union Street, Berkeley Springs, W.Va., where the family will receive friends from 5 p.m. until service time. Pastor Terry Marshall will officiate. Burial will be private.
