1948-2022

Carolyn Sue Stotler, age 74, of Hedgesville, W.Va., died on Sunday, May 15, 2022 at her home while under the care of Hospice of the Panhandle.

Born April 27, 1948 in Berkeley Springs, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late Glenn and Lola Stotler Johnson.

She was a Christian. Mrs. Stotler was a graduate of Berkeley Springs High School.

Carolyn worked 30 years as a seamstress for London Fog factory and then went to work for 9 years with Fleetwood Travel Trailers of Maryland, Inc., both in Hancock, Md.

She loved spending time with her grandchildren and going to their sporting events.

Carolyn is survived by her husband of 56 years Roger William Stotler, at home, her children, Toby Stotler and his wife, Tamera, both of Wilkesboro, N.C. and Tonya Kearney of Hedgesville, three sisters, Peggy Peck of Berkeley Springs, Karen Whisner of Great Cacapon, W.Va., Sherry Shade of McConnellsburg, Pa., four brothers, Larry Johnson of Tennessee, Glen Ray Johnson of Berkeley Springs, Dennis Johnson of Hedgesville and Ricky Johnson of Ohio, four grandchildren, Tyler Stotler, Colton Stotler, Michael Kearney, Kennedy Carter and her husband, Austin, and many nieces and nephews and her dear friend of many years, Nancy Fox of Berkeley Springs.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Virginia Lee Bohrer and Barbara Michael.

Funeral services were conducted at 1 p.m. on Thursday, May 19, 2022 at Helsley-Johnson Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 95 Union Street, Berkeley Springs, W.Va., where the family received friends from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. Pastor Dick Voorhaar officiated. Burial was in Michael Family Cemetery.
